RESCUES
Pepita and Nugget, who spent 13 years in captivity, and Cocoa, who has spent 3. After years in a small quarantine area awaiting a permanent enclosure, they were transferred to our zoo, where they now enjoy a spacious habitat with enrichments that support their wellbeing and natural behaviors.
Tiki and Taka are two parrots rescued from illegal wildlife trafficking. A man brought them in a small cage intending to sell them, but after being warned that authorities would be notified, he abandoned them at Hacienda Pilar. Today, they are safe and protected under our care.
Falcon and Dakota were found beneath a tree when they were still very small. After waiting for their mother to return, we intervened to ensure their survival. They spent five months in our care developing strength and hunting skills before being successfully released back into the wild.
